This is a full-time Farmhand role at Jungle Creek Station in Laura, Queensland. You will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of this small farm business. As a Farmhand, you will be responsible for a variety of hands-on tasks to maintain the smooth running of the farm.
What you'll be doing
1. Assisting with the care and feeding of livestock
2. Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment
3. Performing general farm maintenance and repair work
4. Ensuring adherence to all health, safety and environmental regulations
5. Supporting the wider farm team as required which may also include roadworks and operation of heavy machinery if needed
What we're looking for
1. Previous experience working on a farm or in a similar agricultural role, focusing on the beef industry
2. Familiarity with the operation of farm machinery and equipment
3. A keen eye for detail and the ability to work both independently and part of a small team
4. A strong commitment to health and safety
5. Good communication and problem-solving skills
6. Ability to work alone for days at a time in an exceptionally remote location.
7. Own vehicle preferred
8. Medical certificate

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
