In Key Responsibilities
Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic using stop/slow bats and approved traffic management methods.
Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices, signage, barriers, and work zones.
Implement Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) and Traffic Management Plans (TMP).
Monitor traffic conditions and adjust controls as required.
Communicate effectively with site supervisors, project managers, workers, and fellow traffic controllers.
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, road authority requirements, and company procedures.
Conduct pre-start checks and report hazards, incidents, or near misses.
Assist with general site safety and operational support when required.
Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to traffic management activities.
Skills & Experience
Current Traffic Controller Licence/Ticket.
Current White Card.
Previous experience in traffic control, civil construction, roadworks, or infrastructure projects preferred.
Strong understanding of traffic management principles and workplace safety requirements.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions and outdoor environments.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
Requirements
Valid Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
Availability for day, afternoon, night, and weekend shifts.
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening if required.
Full working rights in Australia.
