About the role
Burly Holdings Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and passionate Landscape Gardener to join our growing team in Caboolture, QLD. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your horticultural expertise and creativity in delivering and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. As a Landscape Gardener, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality landscaping projects that enhance commercial projects, contributing directly to public satisfaction and the reputation of our business.
What you'll be doing
- Deliver landscape projects tailored to client needs, specifications and budgets
- Prepare and maintain garden beds, lawns, and green spaces using appropriate horticultural techniques
- Plant trees, shrubs, flowers and other vegetation, ensuring proper placement and care
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools in a safe and professional manner
- Provide grounds maintenance services including lawn mowing, pruning, weeding and mulching
- Install and construct hardscape features such as pathways, borders, edging and garden structures
- Advise clients on plant selection, seasonal care and landscape maintenance best practices
- Ensure all work sites are kept clean, safe and compliant with relevant health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications
- Monitor plant health and address any pest or disease issues promptly
What we're looking for
- A qualification or formal training in landscape gardening, horticulture or a related field
- Proven experience working as a Landscape Gardener or in a similar landscaping role for at least 2-3 years
- Strong knowledge of plants, trees, shrubs and flowers suited to the Queensland climate
- Proficiency in operating landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, chainsaws and hand tools
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret landscape designs and plans
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- A current, valid driver's licence and reliable transport
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- A genuine passion for gardening, plants and creating beautiful outdoor environments
- Relevant certifications are highly desirable
