Description:
The iconic Tarooki Campsite, located in Robe, is a ministry of the Uniting Church in Australia and aims to provide exceptional Christian hospitality to church and school groups, community organisations and wedding guests.
An opportunity exists for a casual Kitchen Hand / Housekeeper to assist in the provision of hospitality services and day-to-day operations.
The Kitchen Hand / Housekeeper is an integral part of the Tarooki team and has an emphasis on food service and housekeeping to assist Uniting Venues SA to provide exceptional Christian hospitality.
Reporting to the Manager, Tarooki Campsite, the Kitchen Hand / Housekeepers Hand’s key tasks are:
- Responsible for cleaning of bedrooms, meeting rooms and other facilities
- Assist in the preparation and service of appetising and nutritious meals in accordance with current food safety standards
- Clear, wash and pack away dishes and associated kitchen equipment
- Maintain knowledge of general WHS issues related to campsite operations as well as the organisations policies and procedures.
Ideally the successful applicant will have had experience in a similar position. In addition, the successful applicant will have:
- Ability to take direction and work unsupervised
- Able to work productively and positively in a small team environment
- Ability and willingness to be flexible and customer focused.
Experience within the camping and conference centre industry will be highly regarded. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are necessary in this role, as is a willingness to support the ethos of the Uniting Church.
