Perennial Packaging Group is a leading Australian manufacturer of customised PVC and vinyl compounds supplied to industries including building, telecommunications, mining, automotive, clothing and packaging.
The Management Accountant will support Perennial Packaging Group’s manufacturing operations and strategic decision-making by undertaking the following duties:
- Develop, maintain and review financial controls, management accounting systems and cost-control procedures.
- Analyse product manufacturing costs, raw material costs, production overheads, margins and sales pricing.
- Prepare regular management accounts, financial reports, cash-flow forecasts and supporting taxation documentation.
- Coordinate annual budgets, financial forecasts and variance analysis across manufacturing and operational activities.
- Monitor actual financial performance against budgets, forecasts and organisational targets.
- Prepare financial modelling and analysis to support product pricing, production planning and commercial decisions.
- Assess the value and financial performance of company assets, plant, equipment and proposed capital investments.
- Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, cost-saving opportunities and areas for improved profitability.
- Provide management with timely financial advice and reports to support strategic planning and business growth.
- Establish and review financial risk-management processes, internal controls and reporting procedures.
- Identify accounting irregularities, control weaknesses and areas of non-compliance, and recommend appropriate corrective action.
- Review the accuracy and integrity of financial information and ensure reporting complies with relevant statutory and organisational requirements.
- Support funding and cash-flow requirements and liaise with banks, financial institutions, external accountants and other professional advisers.
- Assist management in evaluating investment, capital expenditure and business-development proposals.
- Supervise and support accounting staff, including reviewing their work and ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial reporting.
Contribute to continuous improvement, benchmarking and cost-efficiency initiatives across Perennial Packaging Group’s manufacturing operations
Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
