Hunter New England Health is seeking a motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 to join our Infection Prevention Service.
This permanent part-time opportunity offers the perfect balance for nurses seeking flexible hours while continuing to build their specialist expertise, leadership capabilities, and career within NSW Health.
This rewarding role offers the opportunity to influence safe, evidence-based infection prevention and control practices, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and make a meaningful impact on patient, staff, and visitor safety.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 within the Infection Prevention Service, you will provide expert clinical consultancy, education and support to healthcare services across the district, promoting safe, evidence-based infection prevention and control practices.
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in improving patient, staff and visitor safety across a range of healthcare settings.
In this role, you will:
Clinical Nurse Specialists are based across the Wallsend and Tomaree Campuses, providing expert support to services including Belmont Hospital to improve patient, staff and visitor safety.
The service is supported by a central Executive team in Newcastle, with practitioners working across the district. You’ll be part of a collaborative team with ongoing education and professional development.
We're looking for a motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist who enjoys working collaboratively, takes initiative and is passionate about improving patient safety.
