Young Academics Early Learning Centre is a leading and reputable provider with more than 45 centres across New South Wales. We are seeking passionate Early Childhood Educators & Teachers to join our Prestons team.
About the Role
As an Early Childhood Educator or Teacher at Young Academics, you will create meaningful learning experiences that support children's learning, development, safety and wellbeing. You will deliver engaging programs aligned with the EYLF, NQS and our service philosophy, while creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
Depending on your qualification and role, you may also provide pedagogical leadership, mentor fellow educators and help strengthen teaching practice across the service.
Current Positions:
Early Childhood Teacher - Part-time, Monday & Friday, 8 hours per day.
Certificate III Educator - Full-time, 38 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day.
Trainee - Full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging educational programs aligned with the EYLF, NQS and Young Academics' curriculum.
Observe and document children's learning and development, creating experiences that promote wellbeing, independence and agency.
Maintain active supervision and safe, inclusive learning environments, proactively identifying and managing risks.
Embed child safety, safeguarding and mandatory reporting requirements into everyday practice.
Build respectful relationships with children and positive partnerships with families.
Collaborate with fellow educators and contribute to reflective practice and continuous improvement.
For ECTs, provide pedagogical leadership and mentor educators to strengthen teaching practice and educational outcomes.
About You
An ACECQA-approved Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards); or
An ACECQA-approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification (Bachelor degree or equivalent).
Current NESA Teacher Accreditation if applying as an Early Childhood Teacher.
Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and relevant regulations.
Current NSW Employee Working with Children Check.
Current First Aid, CPR and National Mandatory Child Protection certificates.
Current Food Handler Basics Training Certificate.

You will be required to provide a minimum of two professional referees as part of the recruitment process. Young Academics conducts reference checks, will verify that you hold a valid WWCC for paid work, and confirms that you do not have any prohibition or statutory notices against you.
