Matching Minds is looking for a confident and approachable tutor to support a university student studying Marketing who needs assistance with a Business Mathematics unit.
Tutoring can be completed in person on campus in Camperdown, making this a great opportunity for a current university student, postgraduate student, graduate or experienced tutor based nearby.
The role
You’ll provide personalised 1-to-1 support to help the student better understand the mathematical concepts covered within their business degree.
The focus is not just on getting through assignments, but helping the student genuinely understand the concepts, work through problems confidently and keep up with the unit.
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable with university-level business maths and quantitative concepts and can explain them in a clear and practical way.
You may be a good fit if you are:
- Currently studying or have completed a degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field
- Strong in university-level mathematics or quantitative business subjects
- Experienced tutoring university or senior secondary students
- Comfortable breaking down mathematical concepts into simple steps
- Patient, reliable and able to adapt your explanation style to the student
- Available to meet in person at the Camperdown campus
Previous tutoring experience is highly regarded, but strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach clearly are equally important.
