Your new role:
As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide advanced clinical and operational leadership across the Respiratory Outpatients Department and Metro South Clinical Tuberculosis Service. You will lead a skilled nursing workforce, oversee service delivery, and drive quality, safety and performance outcomes while ensuring exceptional patient-centred care.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing advanced nursing leadership and clinical governance
Managing workforce planning, staffing, rostering and performance
Overseeing human, financial and material resources for the service
Driving quality improvement, service development and risk management initiatives
Ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, policies and legislation
Leading change and implementing innovative models of care

You are a confident and experienced nursing leader who thrives in a complex healthcare environment. You bring a passion for delivering high-quality patient care, developing high-performing teams and driving service excellence through collaboration, innovation and strong operational management.
You will bring:
Significant leadership experience within nursing or healthcare services
Advanced knowledge of clinical governance, quality and safety frameworks
Strong people leadership, coaching and team development skills
Experience managing budgets, resources and workforce planning
Expertise in rostering, HR processes and performance management
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills

PAH Respiratory Department provides a coordinated, holistic tertiary (level 6) inpatient and outpatient services for patients affected with respiratory illnesses utilising a multidisciplinary approach while maintaining a safe environment, thus resulting in optimal patient outcomes and a cost-efficient service.
