The Tiny Grocer / Say Cheese BNE catering is looking for an experienced chef to assist with:
- the preparation of take-home meals (frozen in our grocer freezer for the public to purchase),
- Assistance with daily catering orders for Say Cheese (sandwich boxes, salads, platters etc).
- Assistance with day-to-day grocer kitchen preparation (sandwiches, roast chickens, salads etc).
This is a casual role for the following hours:
Monday (midday onwards, can be flexible on timings)
Wednesday (7am - flexible finish time pending workload)
Minimum 2 years experience as a chef. Ideal for someone working full time wanting to pick up some extra hours for extra income.
Take home meal preparation is independent work, experience with production style cooking is ideal. Experience cooking the following dishes is also preferred:
- Thai & Indian curries
- Mexican chilli con carne
- Open to other ideas for take home meals (we do not need Italian style, we have a chef who takes care of this).
