The role
12-month fixed-term contract - A standout opportunity for an experienced People Business Partner.
Partnering with the Senior People Business Partner, you’ll be a trusted advisor to people leaders and their teams across the business, supporting them through the full employee lifecycle and bringing genuine depth to the more complex people conversations.
Over the next 12 months you’ll provide pragmatic, solution-focused advice that strengthens both employee experience and organisational outcomes, from policy guidance and performance through to the sensitive matters where experienced judgement really counts. It’s a hands-on role with real impact, ideal for someone who enjoys helping leaders get the people stuff right and building capability across the business.
What you will be doing
- Managing employee relations matters – partnering with leaders to manage employee relations issues end to end, including investigations, grievances, performance conversations and disciplinary matters, with sound judgement and a steady hand.
- Coaching people leaders – building strong relationships and giving timely, pragmatic advice that helps leaders navigate people matters and cultural health – helping leaders act with confidence while staying ahead of emerging risks.
- Safeguarding compliance – providing expert guidance on HR policy, procedure and employment legislation, ensuring consistency and managing risk.
- Driving performance – supporting performance management from preparation and feedback documentation through to improvement plans.
- Delivering people processes – contributing to annual cycles such as remuneration reviews, performance calibrations and talent planning.
- Turning data into insight – preparing HR reports and dashboards that support insight-led decision-making, and maintaining accurate people records in partnership with the HRIS Functional Lead.
- Improving the way we work – contributing to HR process improvement and helping deliver strategic people initiatives.
What makes you stand out
You’re an experienced People Business Partner or HR advisor with solid, demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters from investigations and grievances through to performance and disciplinary processes. Backed by a sound knowledge of employment legislation, you guide leaders through complex and sensitive people matters with calm, credible judgement, and it’s work you do well and enjoy.
Known for your sharp communication and relationship building skills, you’re confident having the difficult conversations and pragmatic in finding solutions that work. You’ve done this in a fast-paced environment, partnering with a broad spectrum of stakeholders across geographically dispersed teams. Highly organised and detail oriented, you adapt well to change and are ready to make an impact from day one. A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
