The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Pharmacist Interns to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Undertake clinical rotations across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service
Participate in continuing professional development activities
Provide pharmacy services to internal and external customers
Provide medicines information and education to health care professionals
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Tertiary degree in Pharmacy
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Base salary ranging from $79,051 per annum

The Pharmacy Service provides medication management services across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, through inpatient units, outpatient clinics and in all facilities where medicines are being utilised for the care of patients. This includes Gold Coast University Hospital, Robina Hospital, Tugun Satellite Health Centre, Varsity Lakes Day Hospital, Southport and Robina Health Precincts, Numinbah Correctional Centre, Interim care facilities, as well as various community clinics and dental services.
