About the role
We are looking for a Senior Internal Auditor, to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis.
The Senior Internal Auditor leads the delivery of allocated audits, including planning, scoping, fieldwork, findings validation and reporting. This role acts independently with the support from the Assurance Manager and the Head of Internal Audit, and provides high-quality insights that enhance Elders’ governance, risk and control environment.
Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end audits (planning, scoping, fieldwork, reporting) across a variety of business areas

Develop risk assessments, audit programs and testing strategies

Produce draft scope and audit objectives Execute fieldwork supported by completed workpapers

Validate and present findings and recommendations to management
-
Provide insights that go beyond compliance to highlight efficiency and process improvement opportunities
-
Draft concise audit reports with clear conclusion and pragmatic recommendations
-
Support tracking and monitoring of management audit actions
-
Contribute to enhancing audit methodology, templates, analytics use and reporting

Look for opportunities to apply AI in internal audit function.
About you

Solid internal audit experience in a multi-site or complex organisational environment Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills

Self starter who owns the delivery of assigned activities and escalates challenges promptly

Works well both independently and within the team
-
Strong customer focus demonstrating a genuine interest in understanding and supporting business operations
-
Demonstrated ability to problem solve and provide effective solutions
-
Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and control design
-
Experience using data analytics tools to support audit activities
-
Open to occasional travel across Australia
