We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing commercial refurbishment & fitout construction team based in Dandenong South, VIC location .
In this role, you'll take ownership of projects from award through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with clients, subcontractors and internal teams, you'll drive successful project outcomes while building strong, long-term client relationships that support future business.
About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering commercial refurbishment & fitout projects from award through to completion, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll lead project teams, manage budgets and contracts, coordinate subcontractors and stakeholders, oversee project performance, and build strong client relationships while driving continuous improvement and business success.
Key responsibilities
Lead the delivery of commercial refurbishment and fit-out construction projects.
Manage project budgets, programs, procurement, resources and financial performance.
Coordinate project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants to achieve project milestones.
Oversee contract administration, including progress claims, variations and extensions of time.
Monitor project progress, identify risks and implement practical solutions to keep projects on track.
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, Australian Standards and company quality systems.
Conduct regular site inspections and lead a strong safety-first culture.
Prepare project reports, forecasts and updates for clients and senior management.
Manage project handover, defects and close-out activities.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for repeat business.
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying more efficient ways to deliver projects and support business growth.
About You
Minimum 5 years' experience delivering commercial construction projects (retail banking experience highly regarded).
Qualification in Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
Current Driver's Licence.
White Card.
Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Clearance.
Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, procurement and contract administration.
Demonstrated leadership, communication, stakeholder management and commercial acumen.
Well-developed organisational, problem-solving and time management skills.
Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
