THE ROLE
We have a vacancy for an experienced Sous Chef. Enjoy a varied role that allows you to use your creativity and cooking to do the talking with our customers in our Bistro, Sports Bar and Functions.
Bring your passion for serving the best hearty pub food in town, as well as creating 5* menus for our events and specials.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 1 year in a Sous Chef role
- Passion for the job and bucket loads of creativity
- Supportive and strong team player
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
- The ability to work well under pressure
- A positive attitude and friendly demeanour
THE JOB:
- Kitchen staff management
- Stocktaking
- Food cost management
- Operational - Meal service
- Operational - Cleanliness, hygiene & workplace safety
- Awareness of trends and innovations within the industry
- Understanding of fresh produce seasonality
- Relationship building with staff and suppliers
- Food quality control
- Educating floor staff in food knowledge
