The purpose of this role is to provide executive leadership and strategic oversight of statewide biomedical technology operations, ensuring the delivery of safe, innovative and sustainable health technology services that align with Queensland Health's strategic priorities and enhance patient care across the public health system.
What you'll do
In this role you will provide executive leadership across statewide biomedical technology operations, shape strategic direction and service delivery, lead large multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams, drive governance, risk and operational performance, champion innovation, digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, oversee workforce capability and financial stewardship, provide high-level strategic advice to senior executives and government stakeholders, influence statewide policy and reform, foster strong partnerships across Hospital and Health Services, and ensure Biomedical Technology Services continues to deliver world-class healthcare technology solutions across Queensland.

Has extensive executive leadership experience within healthcare, engineering, technology or scientific services
Has a proven ability to lead large-scale operational portfolios across geographically dispersed teams
Demonstrates exceptional strategic thinking, governance and organisational leadership
Is a highly influential communicator with outstanding stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
Has a strong track record leading transformation, innovation and organisational change
Is passionate about delivering strategic outcomes that improve healthcare services and patient outcomes across Queensland
