Competitive Salary: Band 8 - $133,367.11 - $149,592.80 p.a. (depending on experience) + 12% superannuation

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and collaborative finance leader to oversee high-quality financial services, reporting and advice. This role leads core finance functions, supports the annual budget process, ensures compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, and drives continuous improvement across systems, processes and team capability.
The Coordinator Financial Services provides leadership across financial and management accounting, accounts payable, treasury, budgeting and statutory reporting. The role partners with leaders across the organisation to delivery timely, accurate and practical financial advice, while maintaining strong governance, compliance and service delivery.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and coordinating the organisation's annual budget process, including planning, consultation, review and reporting.
- Overseeing the preparation of annual financial statements and ensuring compliance with the Australian Accounting Standards and relevant legislative requirements.
- Managing relationships with external auditors and supporting effective audit planning, delivery and resolution of audit matters.
- Leading the delivery of accounting functions including management accounting and financial accounting which includes accounts payable and treasury.
- Identifying and delivering continuous improvement initiatives, including finance systems implementation, process improvement and strengthened internal controls.
- Leading, coaching and motivating the Financial Services team to deliver high standards of service, accountability and professional capability.
Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:
- Demonstrated experience facilitating an organisation’s annual budget process.
- Experience in leading the completion of the annual financial statements, demonstrated application of Australian Accounting Standards, and liaising with external audit functions.
- Experience in leading a range of accounting functions including accounts payable, treasury, management accounting and financial accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver continuous improvement initiatives, including systems implementation and process improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating a team.
- A degree in Accounting or a related discipline, plus membership of CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Mandatory pre-employment requirements:
- Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
- Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
