Backed by strong leadership and a growing client base, they are now seeking a results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive new growth across Victoria, SA and Tasmania.
About the Role
This is a high-impact commercial role focused on identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the company’s market footprint, engaging directly with prospective clients and converting leads into long-term strategic relationships. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in B2B sales ideally within fintech, SaaS, or payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage new business opportunities across key verticals, particularly in mid-sized to enterprise markets
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through outbound outreach, networking, and inbound channels
- Deliver compelling, solution-focused product presentations aligned with client needs
- Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting through to negotiation and contract closure
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term client satisfaction
- Attend relevant industry events, conferences, and webinars to promote the brand and build relationships
- Report on sales performance and pipeline metrics via CRM tools
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 3–5+ years’ experience in business development, partnerships, or B2B sales—preferably in fintech, SaaS, or the payments industry
- Understanding of the payments ecosystem or related technology products
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed targets
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, scale-up environment
- Experience using CRM platform HubSpot (or similar)
