The Role - What You’ll Do
Owning the full games studio operation end-to-end, including structure, process, tooling, and delivery. You will build production infrastructure from scratch, establishing development pipelines, milestone tracking, documentation, and version control processes. You will lead and grow the team by hiring across engineering, design, art, QA, and production disciplines in alignment with project needs. Working directly with the CEO, you will define the games division's vision, roadmap, and distribution strategy while managing relationships with external platforms like Steam and consoles. From time to time, you will report on project health, manage resourcing gaps, and ensure active titles meet quality, timeline, and budget targets.
What You Bring - Key Skills & Traits
Essential
- Proven track record shipping games as a studio head, executive producer, or senior production leader
- Hands-on experience building studio infrastructure and pipelines from the early stages
- Strong understanding of game development craft, studio management, and engine/tooling choices
- Experience with early organizational design, strategic scaling, and hiring high-performing teams
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate comfortably with ambiguity
- Deep passion for games and creating world-class interactive experiences
Desirable
- Experience in studios adjacent to animation, film, or transmedia IP
- Background shipping titles that originated from existing entertainment properties or fanbases
- Familiarity with indie or mid-size team structures and resource-constrained production
