About the Role:
We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Mobile QA Tester to join our team. You’ll be responsible for building and owning the automated test framework for Uptick's native iOS and Android mobile applications, used by fire safety technicians across all our global regions, including Australia, the United Kingdom and North America.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain an automated test framework to assure the quality of Uptick's iOS and Android mobile applications
- Develop and execute automated test cases across the fire safety asset lifecycle
- Embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to provide feedback to the development team
- Integrate testing insights and outcomes into existing reporting dashboards
- Surface gaps and weaknesses in existing mobile functionality and testing coverage
- Support manual testing efforts and exploratory testing as required alongside automated coverage
- Collaborate with mobile, backend and web engineering teams to ensure cross-platform quality
- Contribute to test strategy, tooling selection and infrastructure decisions
Salary range: $110,000–$125,000 excluding superannuation
Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field plus a minimum of 3 years' experience in software test automation. Minimum 5 years' equivalent on-the-job experience in software test automation may replace formal qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience focused on mobile testing (iOS and/or Android)
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language used for test automation
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
Desirable
- Experience in a SaaS product environment
- Exposure to BDD/Gherkin-style test specification
- Background in field service, compliance, or enterprise mobile applications
Pay: $110,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
