Primary objective
The Year Level Coordinator has the shared responsibility for the administration associated with the wellbeing, attendance,
behaviour management and academic performance of a large year level cohort of students in a large complex school.

Key duties and responsibilities
1. Proactively manage and monitor student wellbeing, attendance, achievement and Northern Territory Certificate of
Education (NTCET) completion in collaboration with key stakeholders for a large Year 11 cohort.
2. Undertake teaching responsibilities, collaborate with and contribute to the School's Leadership Team in accordance with
the school's Strategic direction and other relevant policies.
3. Manage wellbeing programs for the school designed to maximise student outcomes.
4. Case-manage students as needed to address individual needs and support engagement and achievement.
5. Coordinate timely and effective information flow between relevant stakeholders.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Significant, effective teaching experience in a senior secondary school environment and high level understanding of the
NTCET senior secondary certificate completion and flexible offerings.
2. Demonstrated success in working with a large student cohort from a variety of ethnic and socio economic backgrounds
with diverse needs.
3. Proven ability to build positive relationships with students, families, colleagues, and other stakeholders to maximise
student engagement, retention and achievement.
4. Evidence of high-level interpersonal, communication, team building, conflict resolution, administrative and organisational
skills.
5. Demonstrated ability to effectively implement school-based and system wide policies and procedures.
