As an Art & Design Teacher within the Art & Design team, your key responsibilities include-

Plan education practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage learners

Ensure that teaching materials and resources meet all regulatory standards, training packages and related requirements

Establish and maintain a positive learning environment, including encouraging students to take responsibility for their own learning
-
Adapt learning and assessment materials to cater for different students, learning environments, facilities, and resources
-
Undertake a range of administrative, coordination, and learning services activities directly related to the areas taught
-
Assist in relation to the establishment, maintenance, and review of teaching programs
-
Maintain a respectful, and safe environment free from violence & aggression, bullying, sexual harassment and discrimination
-
Support Chisholm’s Social Justice Charter and its commitment and principles for achieving social justice for all people at Chisholm
ABOUT YOU
You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in transferring knowledge, including the ability to research, select and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools.
Qualifications and Skills required for the role
-
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or qualifications that meet the Standards
-
Vocational qualifications at a minimum AQF level 5 in the area of teaching required such as: - Diploma of Visual Arts or Diploma of Design
-
Vocational currency as demonstrated through a range of work and related experience
-
Strong proficiencies in both Visual Arts and Design practices
-
Ability to teach across multi-disciplines of Visual Arts and Design this may include (but is not limited to) related Visual Arts and Design units
-
Strong proficiencies in Design and Art based software
-
Extensive experience in own practice and related industry
