About the Role:
At Bluebird Early Education Roseville, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Room Leader to join our team. This role is ideal for a Diploma-qualified educator who has a genuine love for working with babies and toddlers and is committed to providing high-quality care, education, and nurturing relationships.
As the Nursery Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading the nursery team, creating engaging learning experiences, maintaining consistent routines, and ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance are upheld.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor educators within the nursery room.

Develop and maintain warm, responsive, and secure relationships with infants and their families.

Plan, implement, and evaluate meaningful learning experiences in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

Observe, document, and assess children's learning and development.
-
Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment.
-
Establish and maintain age-appropriate routines that support children's wellbeing, sleep, feeding, and developmental needs.

Communicate effectively with families, providing regular updates on their child's progress and daily experiences.

Work collaboratively with the leadership team to maintain quality practices and continuous improvement.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
Essential Criteria:
-
Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).

Demonstrated experience working with infants and toddlers in an early childhood setting.

Strong understanding of child development, particularly within the first two years of life.

Confidence in managing nursery routines including feeding, sleeping, settling, and transitions.

Experience in curriculum planning, observations, and documentation.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Proven leadership skills and the ability to support and guide a team.

Current Working With Children Check.

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.

Current child Protection and Food Handling certificates or be willing to obtain these.

A sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)- For Educators with prior experience.

Passionate about providing exceeding early education and care.

Self-motivated with the ability to think outside the box.

Proficient in oral and written communication.

Excellent interpersonal skills (ability to build rapport with families, colleagues, stakeholders and members of the community)
