About the role:
As the Recreation & Leisure Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the effective management and activation of Darebin's recreation and leisure facilities, services and partnerships. Working within a collaborative and high-performing team, you will support contract management, lease and licence administration, stakeholder engagement, grant applications and Council reporting processes. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and organised professional who enjoys working across many areas of recreation and leisure.
You will:
- Administrate day-to-day operational management of recreation and leisure contracts.
- Administrate of Council’s recreation and leisure leases and licences.
- Manage of the Council’s Minor Works process for Recreation and Leisure.
- Support the preparation of ELT papers, Councillor Briefings, Council Reports and other formal documents.
- Manage the Casual Booking process for sporting facilities.
- Prepare, collate and submit KPI reports for contracted services, ensuring data is accurate, timely and consistent with contractual requirements.
About you:
- You will have demonstrated experience in contract administration, operations coordination or a similar role.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes in a busy environment.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, deliver outstanding customer service and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
- Understanding of lease and licence frameworks, including obligations, compliance monitoring and renewal processes, in a community or public sector context.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in recreation management, sport management, business administration, public administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
