The successful applicant will provide a Consult service for Infectious Diseases. There will also be the opportunity to participate in outpatient clinics and antimicrobial stewardship activities.
To fulfil the service requirements of the Department. These may include attendance and participation in multidisciplinary meetings; clinical meetings; journal clubs, supervision and education of junior medical staff and active participation in antibiotic stewardship, infection control and/or ambulatory care programs

Northern Beaches Hospital provides world-class, Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. The hospital features 486 beds, 50-bed Emergency Department, 20-bed general and cardiothoracic ICU, 14 fully equipped theatres, including hybrid theatres, two cardiac catheter labs, extensive digital imaging / diagnostic facilities, medical centre collocated with ED, state of the art education and interactive SIM centre and a Helipad for Emergency Transport.
The Northern Beaches Hospital provides a high standard of education and training, with dedicated supervisors, teachers and a JMO Unit that supports all activities related to rostering, training, education and welfare of junior doctors.
On level 4 of the 9-storey hospital is the Education Centre where doctors can access a range of facilities. These include the latest technology for teaching, simulation and presentations, plus various meeting rooms and conference areas.
There is capability to stream education sessions to/from other facilities, as well as within the hospital for the simulation rooms and theatres.
