We are seeking a qualified Service Technician Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 2 years experience with exposure to hydraulic components and systems. A qualification equivalent to ANZSCO Skill Level 2, such as: An AQF Associate Degree or AQF Advanced Diploma.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out strip down and assessment of Hydraulic and Mechanical Components
- Accurately Report on condition of components and recommended repairs
- Cleaning and preparation of components prior to assembly
- Assembly and testing of Components to a high level of workmanship
- Carry out breakdown repairs and fault finding at Customers sites
- General Servicing of Hydraulic Systems and Components
- Installation and Modifications at Customer Site
- Troubleshoot hydraulic problems on customer site
- Assisting with mechanical design tasks
- Selecting appropriate tools and equipment, and estimating material requirements
- Interpreting basic technical drawings and schematics
Must be
- Honest, hardworking, with good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Able to interpret hydraulic schematics
- Well presented and reliable
- Available to work occasional overtime (including weekends)
- Prepared to undergo travel and training as required
- Hydraulic component repair & troubleshooting experience
- Equipped with current drivers licence & drive a manual vehicle
Advantageous:
Forklift licence; confined space or other relevant work-site certification
