A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, delivering complex brownfield works in and around operational transport assets with stringent quality and compliance requirements. The head contractor is seeking a Quality Manager to own quality assurance and compliance for the project. You'll establish and maintain quality systems, oversee auditing and testing, manage non-conformances and ensure work meets design intent and client expectations in a regulated transport environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain ISO 9001-based quality management systems for project scope

Establish quality standards, inspection and test plans (ITPs) and acceptance criteria

Conduct quality audits and witness critical inspections and testing

Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective action follow-up

Maintain traceability records for materials, testing and completion evidence

Support completion dossier compilation and handover validation

Work with client assurance teams and independent verifiers on quality matters

Monitor quality performance metrics and report to project leadership

Mentor project team on quality requirements and expectations

Support safe work practices and quality-related risk management
What We're Looking For

Degree or diploma in engineering, construction, quality management or related discipline

10+ years' quality or engineering experience with management responsibility

Experience on infrastructure projects of $100m+

Rail, brownfield, stations or complex multidisciplinary construction background

Demonstrated ownership of ISO 9001-based systems, auditing, ITPs and traceability

Experience with non-conformance management and completion dossiers

Dealings with client assurance teams and independent verifiers

2+ years' average tenure per employer with at least one quality management role held for 3+ years

Current construction induction card and ability to access operational areas
