Aria Music School has been providing private & group music tuition to preschool & primary schools throughout Sydney since 1997. We are looking to hire part-time piano teachers for 2024. We teach throughout Sydney in various suburbs. At the moment, we have group classes in need of a teacher at a public school in Mosman on Friday afternoons from 3:20-4:20pm.
There is only 1 hour per week of teaching time here, consisting of 1x 30 minute guitar class and 1x 30 minute piano/keyboard class. Ideally, you would live in or nearby Mosman and be able to regularly attend the classes on a weekly basis during the public school term. This would suit someone who is just looking for extra teaching experience, or just looking for a small amount of extra work per week.
The ideal candidates will be studying or have a tertiary level of both piano and guitar and have an outgoing personality. We also look for a person with a passion for music & education who wish to nurture and inspire children's love of music. If you can play other instruments, that is a great bonus.
As we provide music tuition to many preschools, primary schools and private students throughout Sydney, having a car is greatly preferred. Teaching experience is preferred but not essential - We can train you in effective teaching methods if you have appropriate musical skills already. Please mention whether or not you have access to a vehicle for transport and if you have or don't have teaching experience when applying.
