We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Wine Sales Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine interest in wine, a strong understanding of wine regions and varietals, and a passion for helping customers discover the perfect bottle.
About the Role
As a Wine Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while sharing your wine knowledge and expertise with our customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personalised wine recommendations based on customer preferences and occasions.
- Assisting customers with food and wine pairing suggestions.
- Maintaining and merchandising the wine department to a high standard.
- Developing strong product knowledge across wine, beer, spirits, and premium beverages.
- Processing sales accurately using our POS system.
- Replenishing stock and maintaining attractive displays.
- Assisting with stock control, ordering, and inventory management.
- Supporting wine tastings, supplier events, and promotional activities.
- Following RSA requirements and company procedures at all times.
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to achieve store goals and sales targets.

- Is willing to travel and work across multiple Harry's Liquor stores when required.
Essential Requirements
- Current NSW RSA Competency Card.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Reliable transport and willingness to travel between store locations.
- Strong wine knowledge and an interest in premium wine sales.
- Availability for casual, part-time, or full-time shifts.
Highly Regarded
- Previous liquor retail, bottle shop, cellar door, or hospitality experience.
- Wine industry qualifications (WSET, CMS, or equivalent).
- Experience conducting wine tastings or customer education events.
- Knowledge of Australian and international wine regions, varietals, and vintages.
- Experience using POS systems and inventory management software.
