We're looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our Payroll team at our Nambour Head Office.
In this role, you'll support the accurate and timely processing of payroll by managing employee timesheets, maintaining payroll records and providing administrative support across the employee lifecycle.

About the Role
Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you'll work closely with site teams, leaders and employees to ensure payroll information is accurate, complete and processed on time. Your attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and validate employee labour and equipment hours for payroll.
- Enter, reconcile and amend employee time entries within JD Edwards and payroll systems.
- Review payroll reports and investigate discrepancies with site teams and employees.
- Prepare and submit finalised payroll batches in line with payroll deadlines.
- Maintain accurate payroll documentation and electronic employee records.
- Assist with onboarding administration, employment changes and employee record maintenance.
- Ensure payroll processes comply with company policies, audit requirements and privacy obligations.
- Provide administrative support to the Payroll team and contribute to process improvements.
About You
You'll be highly organised, enjoy working with numbers and take pride in delivering accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
To be successful, you'll bring:
- Previous experience in payroll, payroll administration or high-volume data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Experience using payroll or ERP systems (JD Edwards experience is highly regarded).
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
