About the Role
We are looking for reliable, hardworking and motivated Summer Housekeepers to join our team for the summer season.
This role is ideal for people who enjoy staying active, taking pride in their work, and contributing to a close-knit team. Summer housekeeping on the mountain is quite different from winter, with a strong focus on deep cleaning and maintaining accommodation, hotel and office facilities across the resort.
While there are quieter periods during the summer season, the work can be physically demanding and repetitive at times. You'll be responsible for maintaining high cleaning standards across a variety of locations, including staff accommodation, offices, apartments, hotels and public areas.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, values attention to detail, and is motivated to consistently deliver high-quality work. What to Expect

A mix of regular housekeeping and deep-cleaning duties

Cleaning and maintaining public areas on a regular schedule

Deep cleaning of staff accommodation, offices, apartments and hotel areas

Physically active work involving lifting, bending, pushing and pulling

Walking between different properties and locations around the resort

Working as part of a small team where everyone contributes

Managing your time effectively and working with minimal supervision

Maintaining high standards, even during repetitive tasks

Adapting to changing priorities and unexpected cleaning requirements throughout the seaso
Important Requirements

Commitment from October/November through to April

A car is essential, as there is no public transport to or from Mt Buller during summer
-
Comfortable living and working in a remote mountain environment
-
Able to undertake physically demanding work and spend extended periods on your feet

Comfortable walking around the resort in varying weather conditions
-
Able to work effectively as part of a small team
-
Staff accommodation available from approximately $50 per week, subject to availability
Key Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Cleaning guest rooms, apartments, hotels and public areas to a high standard

Completing scheduled cleaning and servicing of public areas
-
Undertaking deep cleans of staff accommodation, offices and resort facilities

Walking between various properties and locations around the mountain as required

Using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with procedures

Following workplace health and safety requirements at all times
-
Completing tasks within required timeframes while maintaining quality standards

Working collaboratively with the Housekeeping and Hotel & Apartments teams
-
Responding positively to changing priorities and operational requirements

Maintaining a consistent level of productivity throughout each shift
