About the Role
As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality and commercially successful infrastructure projects. Working closely with project teams, designers, subcontractors and clients, you will lead pre-construction planning, coordinate technical and commercial activities, and provide engineering support throughout project delivery. Your expertise will help ensure projects are constructable, compliant and delivered on time and within budget.
Key Accountabilities

Coordinate design development, constructability reviews and technical governance to support safe and efficient project delivery.

Lead procurement activities, including tender development, subcontractor engagement, contract administration and commercial negotiations.

Manage project quality, risk and compliance by overseeing ITPs, work methods, technical documentation, variations and project assurance activities.

Monitor project schedules, identify delivery risks and collaborate with stakeholders to implement mitigation strategies and support successful project outcomes.

Provide technical leadership by resolving site queries, coordinating with design teams and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
About You
You are a proactive and commercially aware engineering professional with a strong understanding of project delivery, design coordination and construction practices. You thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy solving technical challenges and have the ability to balance competing priorities while building strong relationships with clients, contractors and project teams. Your attention to detail, problem-solving skills and commitment to continuous improvement will contribute to the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.

Current Class C Driver Licence.

General Construction Induction (White Card), or willingness to obtain.

Full working rights in Australia.
Skills & Experience
You have experience delivering engineering or construction projects across the project lifecycle, with knowledge of design standards, procurement, contract administration, commercial principles and risk management. You are confident coordinating multiple stakeholders, managing RFIs, monitoring project schedules and supporting quality outcomes. Strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft 365, enable you to deliver practical, commercially sound solutions.
