Gradi Fine Foods is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to take ownership of quality assurance and food safety across our Coburg North production facility.
This is a hands-on, site-based role for an established QA professional who understands the standards required when manufacturing food products for major Australian supermarkets.
You will work closely with production leadership to ensure our products, processes, systems and records consistently meet regulatory, customer and internal requirements.
Required:
- A minimum of 5 years’ Quality Assurance experience within food manufacturing
- Experience working for a food manufacturer or supplier servicing major Australian supermarkets
- Strong knowledge of retailer requirements, customer specifications, audit preparation and corrective actions
- A relevant qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Assurance or a related discipline
- Full Australian work rights; employer sponsorship is not available for this position
Salary: $90,000–$120,000 + superannuation, depending on experience

Our production team works in a fast-paced environment where product safety, consistency and quality are central to everything we do. We are now looking for an experienced QA professional who can lead the quality function and help strengthen our systems as the business continues to grow.
What you’ll do
- Take ownership of the site’s Quality Assurance and food safety systems
- Maintain and continuously improve HACCP, GMP, CCP, allergen, traceability, recall, supplier approval and quality documentation programs
- Lead preparation for regulatory, certification and customer audits, including major-supermarket requirements
- Manage non-conformances, customer complaints, root-cause investigations and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Maintain product specifications, labelling requirements, Certificates of Analysis, SOPs and quality records
- Monitor production-floor compliance and work with supervisors to resolve quality, hygiene and process issues
- Oversee product, environmental and hygiene verification activities and ensure accurate follow-up of results
- Support supplier and raw-material quality management
- Train and guide production employees in food safety, quality procedures and documentation expectations
- Partner with production leadership to improve product consistency, reduce waste and strengthen operational controls
What you’ll bring
- At least 5 years’ relevant QA experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Direct experience supporting products supplied to major Australian supermarkets, including retailer specifications, audits and customer compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage or take ownership of a site QA function
- Strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, traceability, allergen management, CAPA, internal auditing and food-manufacturing compliance
- Experience with recognised food-safety certification standards such as SQF, BRCGS or an equivalent system will be highly regarded
- Strong investigation, documentation and problem-solving skills
- The confidence to work closely with production teams and address quality issues directly on the factory floor
- Clear communication skills and the ability to build a practical, accountable food-safety culture
