About Us
West Peak Constructions is a Melbourne-based residential construction company specialising in new homes, townhouses, extensions and residential development projects. We are seeking an experienced Drafter / Estimator / Project Coordinator to support our growing project pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review architectural drawings and construction documentation.
- Produce project estimates, take-offs, scopes of work and cost breakdowns.
- Coordinate consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and building surveyors.
- Assist with planning approvals, building permits and project documentation.
- Prepare and manage purchase orders, quotations and project records.
- Review drawings, specifications and consultant documents for accuracy.
- Support project handover from pre-construction to the site team.
- Monitor project timelines and communicate progress with clients and the construction team.
- Maintain organised project files and records in the company’s management systems.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant qualification in architectural drafting, building design, construction management or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant experience in residential drafting, estimating or project coordination.
- Experience preparing residential construction drawings and documentation.
- Good understanding of Australian residential construction methods, the NCC and Victorian building requirements.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit or similar drafting software.
- Ability to read architectural, structural and engineering drawings.
- Strong estimating, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple residential projects and meet deadlines.
- Buildxact, Xero and Google Workspace experience will be an advantage.
- Current Australian driver licence preferred.
