About Us
St Michael’s is a leading independent co-educational school in St Kilda, educating students from Early Learning to Year 12 on one award-winning campus. We are seeking an experienced Account Receivable Officer to join our Finance Team. This role is a fixed term contract from 20 July to 4 September 2026, working Monday to Friday while the current incumbent is on leave. These dates include a handover and there will be ongoing support provided by the Finance team. This full-time opportunity suits an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer who will work closely with the Finance Manager to provide consistent, high quality and timely accounts support and advice.
The incumbent is expected to:
- Follow up on overdue accounts and outstanding payments.
- Liaise with parents regarding account enquiries and payment matters.
- Process periodic instalment payments and maintain accurate payment records.
- Prepare reports on collection activities and monitor the effectiveness of debt collection processes.
- Process monthly tuition fee instalments and any additional student-related charges.
- Dispatch all debtor invoice/statements at end of month.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- Further study in business administration or allied field is desirable.
- Knowledge of PayWay and Synergetic systems are preferred but not essential.
- Must hold a current Employee Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain.
- National Police History Check (Obtained within the last six months).
