We are now looking to recruit a Hairdresser/Barber to join our dedicated and professional service team.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality hairdressing services by creating customised hairstyles, performing a range of hair treatments, and ensuring every client receives professional service in a clean, welcoming, and modern salon environment.
Duties
- Meet with clients to understand their desired look and recommend styles and treatments that complement their facial features, hair condition, and lifestyle.
- Perform precision haircuts for women, men, and children using a variety of professional techniques.
- Carry out colouring services, including full colour, foils, balayage, highlights, toning, and colour corrections while ensuring the health and integrity of the hair.
- Provide specialised hair treatments such as keratin smoothing, deep conditioning, and scalp care to improve hair health and appearance.
- Create hairstyles for everyday wear and special occasions using blow-drying, curling, straightening, and finishing techniques.
- Apply and maintain hair extensions when requested, ensuring a natural appearance and client comfort.
- Maintain salon presentation by preparing workstations, sterilising equipment, replenishing supplies, and following hygiene and workplace safety procedures.
- Build positive client relationships by delivering excellent customer service, encouraging repeat business, and promoting suitable retail hair care products.
- Manage client bookings, maintain accurate service records, and process sales and payments using the salon's booking and point-of-sale systems.
- Work collaboratively with the salon team to ensure smooth daily operations and consistently high service standards.
Qualifications
- AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV in Hairdressing, or an equivalent qualification.
- Relevant industry training and practical salon experience will be highly regarded.
Experience
- A minimum of three years' experience as a Hairdresser/Barber
