This permanent part-time (24 hours per week) Speech Pathologist role (Level 1/ is to work within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure a high standard of Speech Pathology service is provided to patients of the Hospital, along with appropriate support and advice to their carers. The Speech Pathologist will participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a patient-centred, evidence-based, continuous quality improvement work environment that is consistent with the values and ethics of HammondCare and Speech Pathology Australia.
HammondCare is a NSW Health affiliated organisation, all NSW Health transferrable entitlements will be recognised.

Provision of effective and efficient speech pathology service to clients and appropriate support and advice to their carers

Participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team in assessing patients' level of functional and care needs, setting joint care goals with patients/carers and providing appropriate treatment.

Participate as a member of the HammondCare team in the application of the organisation's Mission and values to the pursuit of its objectives in a client-centred, continuous quality improvement work environment

A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology as recognised by Speech Pathologist Australia and eligibility for membership

Practical experience or Extensive Knowledge in providing Speech Pathology Services in an outpatients Rehabilitation and/or Palliative Care setting. Experience across inpatient and outpatient/ community settings would be desirable.

A current driver's licence and safe driving record and willing to travel between HammondCare's sites and services.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, organisation and time management skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
