We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
Proven ability to apply legislation and whole-of-government policies to develop QAS operational doctrine and strategies that ensure compliance and continuous improvement, supported by experience in drafting policy and procedural, and preparing briefing papers on diverse issues.
High level conceptual and problem-solving skills and the ability to understand, analyse, and interrogate data and information from a wide range of sources and produce relevant, comprehensive documents.
Proven record of achievement in project management, including taking ownership and responsibility for meeting objectives, monitoring and reporting on progress against milestones and managing competing priorities
Demonstrated ability to communicate with influence, both verbally and through written material, ensuring a professional standard is maintained at all times.
Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship building capability with both internal and external stakeholders and a proven commitment to quality service and collaborative teamwork.

The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
Whilst not mandatory, possession of a recognised degree in information technology and certification in Managing Successful Projects (PRINCE2), including experience in the use of project management tools and systems, will be highly regarded.
Whilst not mandatory, additional qualifications in education or emergency and disaster management related disciplines would be well regarded.
Position may require participation in shift work (including weekends and public holidays), on-call duties and undertake overtime.
