About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Building Associate to join our growing team. This role supports project delivery by assisting in the coordination of construction activities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and contributing to the successful completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating construction projects from planning through to completion
- Support site teams in monitoring construction activities, timelines, and budgets
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
- Interpret and review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for accuracy and conformity.
- Ensure all on-site construction work complies with Australian building regulations, codes, and National Construction Code (NCC / BCA) standards.
- Review drawings, specifications, and documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Assist in managing approvals, permits, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor quality, safety, and environmental standards on-site
- Prepare reports, project updates, and documentation for management review
- Identify and escalate risks, issues, and delays in a timely manner
Skills and Experience
- An AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, or at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in construction or property development (preferred)
- Understanding of Australian building regulations, codes, and standards
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and problem-solving capability
