Hiring: Experienced MIG Welder
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder to join our team for a major long-term project (12+ months). If you have experience working on mining vehicles and heavy plate, can read technical drawings, and take pride in producing high-quality work, we'd like to hear from you.
Key Requirements
- English: Ability to speak and understand English.
- Welding Experience: Proven MIG welding experience using both bare wire and flux-cored wire.
- Industry Experience: Experience working on mining vehicles and heavy plate.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Fabrication: Fabrication experience is highly regarded.
- Safety: Strong commitment to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS).

Main Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MIG welding using both bare wire and flux-cored wire.
- Weld and fabricate mining vehicles and heavy plate components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to complete work accurately.
- Carry out fabrication tasks as required.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and project specifications.
- Maintain a safe and tidy work area in accordance with WHS requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with MIG welding (bare wire and flux-cored wire).
- Experience welding mining vehicles and heavy plate.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings with minimal supervision.
- Fabrication experience is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team.
Hours: 50–60 hours per week (approximately 10-hour days) with stable and consistent hours.
Job Types: Casual, Contract
Pay: $45.00 – $55.00 per hour
