About the role
Reporting to the Head of Pre-Contracts, the Senior Bid Manager leads end-to-end bid delivery for Enerven's NSW Utilities including Transgrid, Ausgrid and REZ submissions. The work covers high voltage transmission, substations and connection works, with scope across Enerven's wider portfolio. You will lead a small team of estimators, with the role split approximately 80 per cent bid and team leadership, 20 per cent hands-on estimating.
- Set the bid strategy for each pursuit and lead the team from qualification through to submission and handover
- Lead, coach and develop estimators across concurrent bids
- Prepare and review cost estimates, returnable schedules, milestones and cashflows, and test the assumptions behind them
- Work with the design, legal and commercial teams on concept designs, critical terms, clarifications and departures
- Own the client relationship through the bid phase and into post-award contract review
- Run structured win/loss reviews and improve the bid database, systems and templates
About you
- Seven or more years in bid, proposal or estimating management within utilities, renewables, energy or infrastructure
- A record of winning complex, high-value tenders rather than only coordinating them
- Working technical knowledge of high and medium voltage transmission, substations and network connections
- Estimating and cost-modelling capability you can defend in a review, with sound commercial judgement on scope and risk
- Experience tendering to a network service provider or within a panel arrangement
- Experience leading a small technical team, and the credibility to influence senior stakeholders
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience
- Intrastate and interstate travel required
