About the Role
Geekplus Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Industrial Engineer to support the delivery of warehouse automation and robotics projects across Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing and improving operational processes while leading the engineering implementation, installation, commissioning and optimisation of autonomous mobile robot (AMR) systems to maximise operational efficiency, system reliability and customer outcomes.
Key Duties
· Analyse warehouse operations, equipment performance and operational data to identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, productivity and operational reliability.
· Review operational workflows, equipment utilisation and site layouts to optimise warehouse performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
· Develop engineering procedures, installation standards, commissioning methodologies and maintenance schedules to improve operational efficiency and ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.
· Evaluate project implementation processes and recommend engineering solutions to minimise downtime, optimise resource utilisation and enhance overall system performance.
· Coordinate engineering activities with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and customers to identify technical risks and improve project delivery outcomes.
· Supervise site implementation activities and ensure installation, integration and commissioning works are completed in accordance with engineering specifications, project schedules and quality standards.
· Monitor project progress, implementation milestones and engineering performance to ensure timely delivery of warehouse automation projects.
· Conduct engineering inspections, troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve technical issues and improve long-term operational performance.
· Review engineering documentation, implementation records and technical reports to ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
· Provide technical guidance and training to implementation personnel and subcontractors to ensure engineering procedures and quality standards are consistently applied.
Skills Required
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate engineering processes and recommend practical improvements.
· Knowledge of industrial engineering principles, operational process optimisation and continuous improvement methodologies.
· Experience in warehouse automation, robotics, manufacturing, logistics or engineering project implementation.
· Sound knowledge of AutoCAD. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or related logistics systems will be highly regarded.
· Excellent communication, project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
· Ability to lead engineering activities and provide technical guidance to engineering personnel and subcontractors.
· Excellent written and spoken English. Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is highly regarded.
· Willingness to undertake frequent business travel within the Asia-Pacific region.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Industrial Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another closely related engineering discipline.
· At least one year of relevant full-time engineering experience within the previous five years in industrial engineering, warehouse automation, manufacturing, logistics, robotics implementation, engineering project delivery or operational process optimisation.
Pay: $89,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
