The Role
The Cleaner - Working Alone will take pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness ensuring school facilities are cleaned and maintained in accordance with Department procedure to provide a visually pleasing and safe learning environment for our students, staff, and visitors to the school. They will organise and order stock and equipment as well as manage hazardous materials and the Material Safety Data Sheet.
This position involves a three-hour cleaning allocation on Thursdays and a three-hour cleaning allocation on Fridays. The Friday allocation may be negotiated to an alternative day, provided it is completed before the start of the school week.
The Cleaner will work as a team with school staff including the gardener and manage staff performance in consultation with the Manager Corporate Services.
The successful applicant should ideally have strong interpersonal and team motivational skills and be happy to receive and carry out instructions as required.
