As a Carer, you’ll support residents with warmth, dignity and respect, helping them live well every day. You’ll build meaningful connections, assist with daily living tasks, and contribute to a safe, supportive and person‑centred environment. At Shalom Centre, you’ll join a warm, collaborative team that puts residents at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for Carers who bring compassion, professionalism and a genuine desire to support older people.
Your responsibilities include:
Resident connection — Building genuine, trusting relationships and understanding individual needs
Personal care — Showering, grooming, meals, mobility and daily living support
Social engagement — Supporting activities that bring joy, purpose and connection
Promoting independence — Encouraging choice while upholding dignity
Care plan communication — Reporting changes or concerns to ensure accurate care plans

Hourly rate $36.23 per hour plus 12% super

You bring compassion, patience and a genuine desire to support older people. You deliver care with dignity, respect and professionalism.
You will have:
Cert III Individual Support or equivalent (or be actively working toward completion)
Aged care experience in residential or similar settings
Competence in personal care including showering, grooming, mobility and manual handling
Commitment to person‑centred care and resident choice
Strong communication skills and relationship‑building ability
Ability to work independently and within a supportive team
Reliability and flexibility to meet roster requirements
Basic computer skills for documentation and care plans
A positive, respectful and empathetic approach to residents, families and colleagues
