Your new role:
This role supports asset management across Metro South Health by delivering high-quality asset data, maintenance planning, reporting, and lifecycle analysis to improve performance and compliance. You will work closely with stakeholders to assess asset condition and risk, develop maintenance strategies, and support optimisation and capital planning activities. With a strong focus on governance, safety, and continuous improvement, you will help ensure assets are effectively managed to meet operational, regulatory, and service delivery needs across a complex health environment.
About you:
You are a detail-driven and analytical asset management professional with strong technical capability and stakeholder engagement skills, who thrives in complex environments and is committed to improving asset performance, compliance, and lifecycle value in a large health service. You have:
Demonstrated experience in asset management, maintenance planning, or infrastructure/data analysis in a complex organisation
Strong capability in asset lifecycle modelling, condition/criticality/risk assessment, and performance reporting
Highly proficient in asset management systems and confident managing large, complex datasets with strong data integrity focus
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build effective working relationships across technical and operational teams
Sound understanding of compliance requirements including WHS, Australian Standards, and regulatory frameworks within asset-intensive environments

The Assets and Infrastructure (A&I) Business Unit enables Metro South Health to expand clinical service capacity through strategic infrastructure planning, master planning, and delivery of priority capital works aligned to the Strategic Asset Management Plan. A&I drives asset management capability uplift, supporting ISO 55000 alignment through improved governance, lifecycle planning, data integrity, and performance reporting. It develops SAMP and AMMP in partnership with the Department of Health, applying a risk-based approach to asset renewal and investment prioritisation. The unit also manages leasing arrangements and supports research governance and capability building to strengthen translational research outcomes.
