We are currently looking for an experienced Float Driver to join our Earth Moving Hire company. The ideal candidate will have a HR license and proven experience in loading and unloading heavy machinery. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of plant equipment to and from client sites, ensuring all deliveries are made efficiently and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport a wide range of earthmoving machinery, including excavators, loaders, dumpers and attachments to and from sites.
- Load and unload machinery from the float, ensuring equipment is secured and transported without damage.
- Inspect and maintain the float and machinery to ensure safe and proper operation.
- Assist with the preparation and organization of machinery for transport, ensuring all equipment is ready and in good condition for delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service when delivering or collecting machinery from clients.
Skills and Qualifications:
- HR License is essential.
- Proven experience in driving heavy vehicles, specifically float trucks, and transporting machinery.
- Experience in loading and unloading heavy plant equipment safely.
- Knowledge of transport safety and compliance regulations.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to conduct basic maintenance checks on the float and machinery.
