What does the job look like?
We’re looking for a Compliance Officer to join our Retail team supporting a National online grocery delivery contract. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with subcontractors and operations to uphold compliance, safety, and audit standards.
Reporting to the Lead Auditor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring subcontractor compliance across safety, audit, and operational requirements. This role requires periodic metro and regional travel to engage subcontractors and complete audit requirements as required. Key areas:
Supporting pre- and post-audit activities and validating audit evidence
Conducting compliance checks across systems, documentation, and fleet maintenance
Monitoring and closing out audit findings and non-conformances
Conducting face-to-face driver interviews as part of social responsibility audits
Building strong relationships with subcontractors and operational stakeholders
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the network
Are you the one?
You’re someone who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment and takes pride in getting the details right. You bring a proactive, hands-on approach to compliance and enjoy working closely with both operational teams and subcontractors to drive outcomes. You can demonstrate:
Certificate IV in WHS or Diploma (desirable)
A supportive team player who collaborates with others to achieve shared goals
Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to spot gaps and ensure compliance standards are met
Confident working with data, with the ability to interpret information and support decision-making
A strong communicator who can build relationships and influence across stakeholders
Organised and able to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment
Committed to safety, integrity, and doing things the right way
