The Elegant Group is a diversified international organisation with a growing Australian presence across commercial property investment, asset management, and corporate operations. Due to continued expansion of our property portfolio and increased financial reporting requirements, we are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join our finance team. This is a genuine, full‑time position to support the financial governance and operational performance of our Australian business.
About the Role
The Management Accountant will be responsible for delivering high‑quality financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance reporting across multiple property assets and corporate entities. The role requires strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with senior management.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and analyse cash flow forecasts to support strategic planning and management decision‑making across property investment portfolios
· Conduct monthly financial performance reviews, including analysis of rental income, operating expenses, and property outgoings
· Review and reconcile monthly financial reports from external property managers, ensuring accurate integration into Xero
· Prepare and maintain loan schedules
· Perform quarter‑end adjustments, accruals, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
· Prepare quarterly actual vs budget variance reports, including financial analysis and recommendations to senior management
· Develop annual budgets and long‑term financial forecasts for property assets and corporate operations
· Prepare annual outgoing budgets, conduct outgoing reconciliations, and ensure accurate allocation of property expenses
· Maintain and update the fixed asset register, including valuations and depreciation calculations in line with accounting standards
· Prepare BAS and ensure compliance with GST and statutory reporting requirements
· Assist in preparing statutory financial statements and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
· Ensure financial processes, reporting systems, and internal controls comply with company policies and legislation
Skills & Experience Required
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline
· Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience
· Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
· Proficiency with accounting systems (Xero experience highly regarded)
· Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and statutory reporting
· Experience in property, investment, or asset‑management sectors is advantageous
· Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
