The opportunity
The Red Cross provides affordable, comfortable accommodation close to major coastal hospitals for individuals travelling from regional or remote Queensland. The Cairns Wellbeing Centre supports patients and their families during periods of medical treatment. We have an opportunity for a Reception and Bookings Officer to join our team, delivering responsive customer service and providing administrative support to the Centre.
What you will bring
- Experience working alongside First Nations people/communities on activities/partnerships or initiatives
- Experience working in an office/hotel or health environment providing administrative support and reception services
- High level of communication and customer service skills
- Sound level of computer literacy in a variety of software packages, in particular Microsoft applications, and experience with a reservations management system desirable
- Experience in handling financial transactions
- Time management and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure with sound attention to detail
- Current employee Blue Card and drivers licence

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 2. Hourly rate from $34.58 + casual loading + superannuation + salary packaging.
