The Opportunity
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Stores / Workshop Supervisor to join our team on Barrow Island , supporting our key client, Chevron. This is a FIFO role on a 2:2 roster (12-hour days) , offering a strong total remuneration package and site allowance. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll oversee both the Stores and the Vehicle Workshop operations , ensuring teams run safely and efficiently and deliver on daily priorities. You’ll lead a mixed crew of employees and subcontractors while managing materials, parts, and maintenance workflows across the site.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead and supervise the Stores and workshop teams, supported by Leading Hands in both areas
Oversee maintenance of light vehicles, heavy vehicles, buses, and mobile plant
Manage materials, stock control, ordering, and inventory systems (MSD)
Coordinate incoming freight, high-priority parts, and expediting
Plan and manage workshop schedules, work orders, and backlog tracking
Compile trade estimates for out-of-scope works
Deliver daily pre-starts, task planning, and performance reporting
Engage with client representatives and respond to technical queries
Ensure safe, efficient completion and close-out of maintenance activities
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience supervising teams in a store/parts environment, with supervisory experience in a workshop, is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of inventory systems / CMMS (MSD or similar)
Solid understanding of automotive or mechanical principles
Ability to manage priorities, schedules, and multiple workstreams
Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with clients
Current driver’s licence (mandatory)
Highly regarded:
Trade background or automotive/mechanical experience
High-Risk Work Licence
Forklift or Telehandler tickets
Leadership or supervisory training
